One more problem that Boeing will have to face in relation to its 787 Dreamliner planes, the manufacturer's measure at the moment is to suspend all deliveries to analyze and try to correct the problem as soon as possible.
Boeing will be working closely with the FAA to have the issue resolved and in full compliance with safety agency requirements. The manufacturer said that the problem does not affect the operational safety of the 787 and that at the moment, only short-term deliveries will be impacted.
“While reviewing certification records, Boeing discovered an analysis error by our supplier related to the 787's frontal pressure bulkhead. the manufacturer said in a statement.
Boeing was in a good moment of resumption of deliveries mainly of the 787 line, which were interrupted a few times and for a long period. The manufacturer also reinforced that it is in with all customers of the plane to provide details about the problem.
With deliveries resuming after more than a year in August 2022, Boeing was able to advance the number of deliveries that were late mainly from the inventory that was generated over the suspension time.
The manufacturer in a conference call said it still expects to deliver 70 to 80 787s later this year. The resumption of Boeing 787 deliveries will be after an individual report made by the FAA on each plane as well as on the 737 MAX line after the new certification.
