The arrival of the Airbus A330-200, in practice, caused Boliviana to start the retirement of the Boeing 767-300, a fleet composed of 4 aircraft and with an average age of 28 years.

With this, Bolivia will be able to expand the offer of seats with the Airbus A330 compared to the Boeing 767, increasing from 225 engers to 275. It is very likely that the A330 will be used to operate in Europe via Madrid and Miami, not ruling out sporadic flights to Guarulhos .

Still with registration N1452X (MSN 1452), the future Boliviana A330 was delivered in September 2013 to Virgin Australia, remaining with the company until 2020. So far, there are no details of the entry of the European long-haul jet.

Interestingly, Boliviana operated another A330-200 between 2013 and 2014 in a wet lease agreement with Portuguese Hi Fly.
