Bristow Group reinforces its presence in Brazil with the launch of two new operational bases

The Bristow Group, a global leader in innovative and sustainable vertical flight solutions, through its Brazilian subsidiary Bristow Táxi Aéreo, has opened two new operational bases in the country to its growing and diverse customer base. This brings the total number of company bases in Brazil to five, while the local fleet of helicopters should reach 18 by mid-August this year. Bristow currently has around 300 employees.

The new bases are located at Eurico de Aguiar Salles Airport, in Vitória, Espírito Santo, and at Farol de São Thomé, in Rio de Janeiro. They are added to the other bases currently operated by Bristow, which include the Cabo Frio, Macaé and Jacarepaguá airports.

“As the Brazilian arm of the world's largest provider of offshore transportation services, we are proud to grow our local operations and continue to provide the safe and reliable service that Bristow has long been known for in Brazil. These new bases in Vitória and Farol de São Thomé allow us to better serve our customers and fulfill our newest commitments in Brazil”, says Marcos Toledo, the company's Area Manager in Brazil. “In two years, Bristow has grown from six to 15 dedicated helicopters in the region.”

With more than 50 years of operations in the country, with hundreds of thousands of flight hours performed, Bristow in Brazil offers offshore aviation solutions for seismic activities, exploration, development and O&G production. Bristow also provides air medical coverage and charter flights for the entire Oil & Gas supply chain in the region.
