Bruna Assumpção receives the Order of Aeronautical Merit

The executive aviation superintendent director of Líder Aviação, Bruna Assumpção, was awarded the “Order of Aeronautical Merit”, one of the main honors granted by the Brazilian Air Force. The medal, created in 1943, recognizes Air Force military personnel who have rendered notable services to the country or have distinguished themselves in the exercise of their profession, as well as individuals and organizations that have rendered relevant services to the Air Force and the country.

Bruna, who holds a prominent position at the largest executive aviation company in Latin America, has dedicated herself to improving the sector with a focus on innovation, safety and excellence in customer service. “I was very excited and honored to receive this award, especially knowing that I am following in the footsteps of my grandfather, who did so much for aviation in Brazil,” said Bruna when commenting on the award.

The award has a special meaning for Bruna and for the history of Líder Aviação, since on September 20, 1985, Commander José Afonso Assumpção, founder of Líder Aviação and Bruna's grandfather, received the same award. Almost 40 years later, Líder's legacy continues to be recognized for its contribution to Brazilian aviation. In addition, the company's former CEO and current Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eduardo de Pereira Vaz, was also honored with this honor in 1998, reinforcing Líder Aviação's connection with the history of aviation in the country.

Over the years, the “Order of Aeronautical Merit” has been awarded to a select group of individuals, and it is notable that there are few women among them. This recognition of Bruna also reflects the growing importance of women in the aviation sector and in the leadership of large companies.
