Boeing 747 from Cargolux will deliver inputs for 6 million vaccines this Saturday at Galeão

The Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) should receive, this Saturday (12), another batch of active pharmaceutical ingredient (IFA), enough for the production of about six million doses of vaccines against covid-19. The input should be unloaded at Tom Jobim International Airport at the end of the afternoon. The information was released by Fiocruz.

Accelerating the delivery of this shipment will allow the continuity of vaccine production and guarantee weekly deliveries to the National Immunization Program (PNI) until July 10, according to Fiocruz. 

This Friday (11), Fiocruz, through the Institute of Immunobiological Technology (Bio-Manguinhos), also made its weekly delivery of vaccine doses, with 2,7 million doses being made available to the National Immunization Program (PNI), of which 137 thousand are for the state of Rio de Janeiro.

With this shipment, the foundation reaches 53,8 million doses delivered to the PNI. At the request of the Ministry of Health's Logistics Coordination, weekly deliveries will remain on Fridays.
