CCR Aeroportos promotes solidarity action for children undergoing cancer treatment

CCR Aeroportos, in partnership with the CCR Institute, promoted a solidarity action at the airports of Curitiba, Goiânia, São Luís, Londrina, ville and Pelotas, in favor of the fight against cancer, a disease that represents the second biggest cause of death in Brazil. According to the National Cancer Institute, there will be around 704 thousand new cases estimated for 2024.

The initiative brought together 100 volunteers from the airport community to make more than 280 items, such as caps, hats and headbands, which will be donated to children undergoing cancer treatment, through Cabelegria, an NGO whose purpose is to bring self-esteem and smiles to cancer patients and people with pathologies that have hair loss as a symptom.

For Josy Tibério, Executive Communications Manager at CCR Aeroportos, this action reinforces the importance of collective work for such an important cause. “We are very happy to promote this volunteer work at our airports. It was a very rewarding experience, especially because we know that we will bring hope to hundreds of children who are fighting against the disease,” says the executive.

The initiative is part of the CCR Institute’s commitment to promoting activities that positively impact the communities surrounding the airports managed by the company. By combining solidarity and creativity, the initiative reinforces the transformative role of collective actions and the importance of caring for those facing challenging times, offering and hope.
