A Cessna 207 stolen in Foz do Iguaçu (PR) last Sunday (17) should be used by a gang that operates in international drug trafficking, said the National Police of Paraguay.
The aircraft registration PT-DKW was stolen on the 17th by eight bandits armed with rifles who invaded the facilities of a parachuting company. The criminals surrendered the caretaker of the property and his family and even left improvised explosives scattered around the property. The artifacts were deactivated by the bomb squad of the Military Police of Paraná.
The Civil Police, which is investigating the case, initially stated that the plane had gone to Paraguay, which was later confirmed by the police of the neighboring country. Paraguayan authorities said the stolen aircraft landed on a farm, from where it headed to Bolivia with another Cessna 172, according to information from the Paraná Portal.
According to G1, the plane valued at R$ 1,5 million was manufactured in 1969 and belonged to an aviation company, headquartered in Boituva, in the interior of São Paulo.
