Flamengo fans are experiencing worrying times on the eve of the Libertadores Grand Final which takes place tomorrow in Guayaquil, Ecuador. A group of fans bought the package for the trip with Outsider Tours and have been trying to board since Wednesday (26).
On the morning of this Friday (28), there was confusion with Flamengo fans waiting for a response from Outsider Tours about the flights that had not left since Wednesday night.
The tour operator committed to Procon that it would relocate all fans on four flights until early Saturday morning. The company's commercial director, Fernando Sampaio twice tried to talk to the injured fans, but needed police intervention.
Without providing details about the flights or when they could be carried out, the fans began to pressure the executive and demand explanations for the situation.
Lots of confusion at the airport. A representative of the Outsiders Tour informed Flamengo fans that there are no more flights to Guayaquil.

Understand the case
The operator Outsider Tours sold packages to Flamengo fans on direct flights from Rio de Janeiro to Guayaquil in Ecuador to follow the Copa Libertadores final.
The first flights should have departed from RIOgaleão on Wednesday (28), but there were no flights operated. Initially, the operator communicated that LATAM had canceled flights due to a possible eruption of the volcano, but the airline responded and denied that it had a contract with the company and whether it wanted to fly to Ecuador.
By determination of the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), foreign airlines cannot carry out chartered flights without a special authorization from Brazil.
Outsider tried to hire Hi Fly, TAAG and Euro Atlantic to take Flamengo fans, but there was no authorization because Ecuador does not have agreements for non-regular air transport.
There was an agreement with Azul Linhas Aéreas to charter three Airbus A320neo aircraft for 174 engers to carry out flights to Guayaquil. But according to what the Globe Sports, there was no full payment for the charter and the flights were not fulfilled for the operator.
Some flights were carried out by Azul and also by GOL, but they were flights sold by the airlines themselves.
The last official note issued by Outsider Tours was yesterday afternoon (27):
“Outsider Tours informs that all engers who had their flights changed will board and the necessary adjustments for the new boardings have already been made, including the relocation of customers to new flights.
