Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV), which has been developing the Airlander 10 airship for some years, presented a luxurious interior for its new project.
In this interior we can see how the company bets on a flying “cruise” concept, with great comfort on board and even a restaurant inside the aircraft.
In addition, the airship is considered a solution for travel in Europe with very low CO2 emissions, according to HAV. The aircraft can carry up to 100 engers, with a speed of up to 130km/h using only helium gas and electric motors.
The goal is for this airship to enter service by 2025, according to the HAV. The tests, however, continue until the company certifies its concept.

In addition to all the comfort of the presented design, the Airlander also promises a unique vision in flight. At 20.000 feet, engers can see the entire landscape through the huge windows.
In 2020, the airship project underwent strong changes, to avoid accidents like one that occurred during the testing process, in 2017.
Changes to the airship include a 5% longer and slightly wider gondola at 46m x 6m (151ft x 20ft), with the fuel module moved into the hull instead of being suspended, although a shorter cabin is available. , says the company. There is also a lower drag shape and retractable rather than fixed landing gear.
In addition, a bow thruster was added, thrusters were introduced, and the nose is more “rounded”.
To tap into the “green tourism” market, HAV also said it was working with Collins Aerospace on an electric power system to replace the four Thielert diesel engines used so far.
The Airlander is 92 meters long, 44 meters wide and 26 meters high, it stands out for being different from the famous and giant airships of the past, starting with its structure that makes it possible to use a larger volume of helium (He) without needing a great length in its structure. The fact of using Helium makes the airship less susceptible to incidents.
