Connectivity at Belo Horizonte International Airport gains new momentum with the inauguration of a flight to Imperatriz, in Maranhão, a route operated by Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras. The increase in the air network at the terminal shows the confidence in the management, which seeks to strengthen the airport as a flight distribution center.

“Our airport is a hub that is always close to people. We are the best route, the shortest between Latin America and the rest of the world. The connection between Belo Horizonte and Imperatriz is seen with extreme satisfaction and shows Azul's confidence in our management. Our expectation is that the expansion of connectivity will be even more frequent”, emphasizes Herlichy Bastos, Director of Operations and Infrastructure at BH Airport.

He adds that Imperatriz is one of the largest cities in the Northeast region.

“The second largest in Maranhão, with a population of around 260 thousand inhabitants. The launch of the route brings more possibilities for connections to engers and further boosts our demand for flights”, assesses Herlichy.
