Corsair takes delivery of its first Airbus A330neo

The Corsair received today (31) its first and brand new Airbus A330-900neo, with the new acquisition the company will start operating all models of the A330 family except the freighter version. The new aircraft arrives under a Corsair leasing agreement with Avolon.

The new A330neo now s the 1 A330-200 and 3 A330-300, the company maintains a standardized operation in Airbus aircraft since the retirement of its 23 Boeing 747s in 2020.

The new A330-900neo received registration F-HRNB, departing from Toulouse at the Airbus factory at 11:05 am (local time). Arriving in Paris from Orly Airport around 12:XNUMX (local time). 

The new aircraft is configured for 352 seats in three classes of service, with Airbus' new 'Airspace' cabin. In addition, the aircraft has a new in-flight entertainment system in addition to Wi-Fi connectivity for engers.

The A330neo is powered by Rolls-Royce's latest generation Trent 7000 engines. Corsair's new aircraft will also be the first aircraft to have an increased maximum takeoff weight of 251 tonnes. This capability will allow the airline to fly long-haul destinations of up to 13.400km (7.200nm) or benefit from ten more tons of payload on board.

In addition to the new engine option, the aircraft benefits from a number of innovations, including aerodynamic improvements and new wings and winglets that together contribute to 25% fuel burn and CO2 reductions.

With the incorporation of the aircraft, the company aims to launch flights to New York from September of this year. In addition to serving international destinations where they were operated with the old Boeing 747.
