Formed by six criminal police officers, the GOA was instituted to police activity in the most diverse areas, such as high-complexity escorts, transport of prison tactical intervention teams, air in intervention operations, recaptures, perimeter security of prison units , among others.

“GOA began to be structured last year and we have now consolidated the creation of the group with the electronic auction for the lease of a fixed-wing aircraft, with the capacity to transport nine operators, in addition to the pilot and co-pilot”, said Leandro Lima.

The secretary also highlighted that responding to an occurrence quickly is decisive in the prison and socio-educational system. “The scenario of a crisis can evolve into a more serious situation, if it is not resolved right at the beginning”, observed.

In addition to speeding up the transport of operators to attend incidents in distant locations, the GOA will increase security procedures, especially in highly complex escorts.

“Currently, we use commercial aviation to transport highly dangerous prisoners, but this is not ideal because it involves a lot of risk. With the GOA we will have even more security to escort leaders of organized crime when they are transferred to federal units, for example”, said.

The director of GOA, Fabio Kinczeski, emphasized the importance of guaranteeing the physical and mental integrity of the operators who are on the move to an occurrence.

“Our state is large and the intervention team is based in Greater Florianópolis. In the case of an occurrence in the West, for example, the operators of the tactical team can arrive at the destination extremely worn out to intervene in a situation that is too complex, which would increase the risks of the mission and the chances of the operators of the team incurring in errors that, in this case, type of police action, can be fatal”, he concluded.

Kinczeski also said that shortly after the beginning of GOA operations there will be a selection process via Acaps for pilot, co-pilot, tactical air operators, mechanic and ground for effective servants.
