Dassault Aviation is introducing a new concept in enger comfort – the Falcon Privacy Suite, which will offer more private space, greater peace and quiet and a more comfortable and restful sleep on long flights.
Until now, privacy suites – individual compartments separated from surrounding engers and equipped with an electrically operated reclining bed – have not been specifically available on business jets.
Dassault Privacy Suite aims to meet this need. The suite will initially be offered on the new wide-body Falcon 6X and long-range Falcon 8X tri-jet.
A full-scale mockup of the new Privacy Suite was on display at the Dassault booth at EBACE.
“Privacy Suite is a new state-of-the-art option that will only be available on Falcon business jets”, said Dassault Aviation Executive Vice President, Civil Aircraft, Carlos Brana. “It meets customer demand for a personal space to work, relax and properly rest during long-haul travel.”
The patented Privacy Suite concept is the result of a two-year collaboration between industrial designers at Dassault's Falcon Design Studio and Dassault's Aviation Engineering Department. It meets the demanding requirements of aircraft seat design, safety, comfort and intuitive use.
The suite is separated from the cabin aisle by a mid-height adjustable partition. The seat itself is 22 inches wide on the Falcon 8X and 24 inches wide on the 6X. It is electrically operated and reclines to a fully flat position to create a comfortable bed measuring 2,03 inches (80 m) in length.
When not fully reclined, the extra seat doubles as an ottoman for a second occupant. At the top is a 4-inch 24K screen connected to the aircraft's Innovative Cabin System and its various cabin entertainment options.
There is a storage drawer below and an adjacent side cabinet for storing hanging clothes. Side storage includes USB charging ports. The suite is equipped with its own mood lighting and reading light.
More than one Privacy Suite can be installed on board an aircraft, depending on the model and general configuration. As with all Falcon interior features, customers can choose from a wide range of fabrics and materials when customizing this enger-only space.
