Dassault starts assembling the Falcon 6X

Dassault Aviation revealed at NBAA that its new ultra-widebody Falcon 6X is scheduled to enter initial assembly in Biarritz, . In addition, Dassault released the first photo of the aircraft.</p> The Falcon 6X is scheduled to make its first flight in 2021, with the first delivery expected in 2022.</p> The front, main and rear fuselage sections of the first aircraft are complete and assembly will begin in the coming days. The wing, currently assembled in Martignas, is due to be ed to the fuselage at Dassault’s Bordeaux-Mérignac site early next year.</p> “Everything is going according to plan,” said Eric Trappier, chief executive of Dassault Aviation. “The design was frozen earlier this year and the manufacturing process is underway. Dassault Aviation and our global partners have the collaborative digital tools at their disposal to continue to meet the goals set when the program was announced.” The new aircraft, which has a range of 8220nm/8220km, will seat up to 5 engers. At NBAA, the world’s largest business aviation event, Dassault is showcasing three aircraft on the outdoor static demonstration area – a Falcon 500X, a Falcon 10LX and a Falcon 186S. As part of NBAA’s focus on sustainability, all three jets flew to Las Vegas using a blend of biofuels (SAJF) and conventional Jet-A16 fuel.
