DECEA conducts a satisfaction survey to improve Air Navigation Services

Diligence, responsibility, excellence. For the Department of Airspace Control (DECEA) these three characteristics, combined with operational safety and technological evolution, are non-negotiable principles that are part of the institution's day-to-day. In this way, with a focus on improving and perfecting products and processes, DECEA is making available a satisfaction survey aimed at the various links in the national ATM community.
 
The objective is to improve the Air Traffic Service (ATS) provided in the country based on a collaborative and interactive process. The opinion of air navigation service s and air navigation service providers, within the scope of the Brazilian Air Space Control System (SISCEAB), is essential for this data survey to result in a reliable extract of the reality and needs of s.
 
As the central body of SISCEAB, the DECEA is responsible for providing air navigation services in the airspace under Brazilian jurisdiction, as well as for the air traffic management (ATM) planning process, whether through capacity analysis, infrastructure investments, or personnel training to optimize air operations.
 
Air movements are monitored by the Air Navigation Management Center (CGNA) using ATM performance indicators. The harmonization of air traffic flow management and other activities related to air navigation is a responsibility of the CGNA.
 
The intention is to advise DECEA on matters related to airspace planning and management, including the results of the satisfaction survey, which are compiled and analyzed according to the process described in DECEA's ATM Performance Plan (PCA 100-3).
 
O PCA 100-3 aims to guide the evolution and measure the performance of the National ATM System, establishing goals consistent with the reference periods and serving as a guiding instrument for planning the necessary activities at the strategic and operational levels.
 
One of these goals is the participation of the ATM community. For this reason, among the topics addressed in the satisfaction survey are the main products and services provided by DECEA and the recent changes implemented in Brazilian airspace.
 
This survey instrument is an opportunity to improve the participation of the ATM community in the planning, implementation and operation processes of SISCEAB, in addition to establishing a direct channel with DECEA.
