Delta takes delivery of the first Airbus A321neo in its fleet

A Delta Air Lines in line with its fleet renewal and expansion plan, it received today (23) its newest narrowbody aircraft (narrow fuselage) to integrate its fleet, the Airbus A321neo.

“The arrival of our first A321neo helps usher in the next era of domestic service  of Delta,” said Mahendra Nair, Senior Vice President, Fleet & Supply Chain, Technical Operations. "These aircraft not only provide the best customer experience in the industry, they also operate with low fuel consumption, which further demonstrates our commitment to a more sustainable future."

Delta expects to add 26 next-generation A321neos to its fleet this year, out of a total of 155 purchase commitments through 2027.

The plane is scheduled to enter service in May of this year and will have the following configuration: 20 seats in First Class domestic, 42 seats in Delta Comfort+ and 132 seats in Main cabin, all coated memory foam for greater customer comfort.
