After a (Northern Hemisphere) summer of recuperação, Delta isn't slowing down to bring back more flights and destinations for business and leisure travelers in New York.

In November, at John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA), the company will have a total of more than 100 daily departures more compared to the schedule offered in the summer (Northern Hemisphere) of 2021, which means approximately 8 additional seats a day to bring New Yorkers to the people and places they love most.

With domestic customer travel back to 2019 levels, Delta is focused on safely and reliably restoring capacity as business travel increases at volumes not seen since the start of the pandemic.

“We are adding 25% more capacity this fall (from the Northern Hemisphere) to meet the significant demand for international and business travel in the coming year”, said Senior Vice President of Network Planning Joe Esposito. "We continue to offer more choice and convenience as we rebuild our global connectivity and deliver what Delta does best: putting our customers first with exceptional, reliable service and a travel experience."

In addition to the restoration of nonstop service to all 40 of the most popular North American markets from New York next month, several key business destinations will also see a significant increase in flight options, including Boston (BOS), Washington DC (DCA), Raleigh-Durham (RDU) e Charlotte (CLT).

This follows the company's already expanded service to the largest New York-bound corporate markets earlier this fall (from the Northern Hemisphere), such as Chicago (ORD), Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW) e Houston (IAH), part of Delta's thoughtful approach to adding capacity as demand returns.

The company also recently launched an LGA service for Toronto (YYZ) and start a flight to Worcester (ORH), Massachusetts, effective November 1.

Delta will offer more flights and seats than any other airline at JFK and LGA, with a total of 400 daily departures to 92 domestic and international destinations.

And all Delta flights at JFK, LGA and Newark (EWR) will now offer a First Class, due to the removal of smaller aircraft, with 50 seats, in all destinations with flights to New York.

The airline also increased the number of flights with Airbus A220 aircraft in New York, complementing an expansion similar to that carried out in hub of Boston, which is growing rapidly, which are intended to Chicago (ORD), Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW) e Houston (IAH).

The A220 offers customers a modernized and spacious experience, with seats in the category Main cabin largest in the fleet, high-capacity overhead bins and extra-large windows.

More ways to connect the world with JFK Airport

As the holiday season approaches and the United States prepares the lifting of travel restrictions for vaccinated international guests, Delta will add more New York services to its global portfolio through the end of 2021.

Across the Atlantic, Delta will operate up to 15 daily flights to 13 destinations in December.

  • The company will double flights to Paris (CDG) e London (LHR), which will change to twice a day, as well as turning the service into a daily Dublin (DUB) from December 06th.
  • In the Northern Hemisphere winter break, Delta will launch a second daily flight to Tel Aviv (TLV), in Israel, on December 18th and will have direct flights to Lagos (LOS), in Nigeria, three times a week, starting on December 07th.
  • In addition, the airline will re-establish non-stop service to Frankfurt (FRA) on December 13, which was last operated on in March 2020.

For Latin America and the Caribbean, Delta will operate more than 20 daily flights to 18 destinations, restoring capacity to approximately 85% of pre-pandemic levels.

  • For those looking for a getaway in a hot destination, Delta will restart service to Sao Paulo (GRU) e Los Cabos (SJD), in Mexico, on December 19, in addition to increasing the service to daily St Thomas (STT) e St. Martin (SXM) on December 18rd.
  • The airline will also launch a service from JFK to Panama City (PTY), in Panama, on December 20.
