Accompanied by mayors Reinaldo Piti (Bela Vista), Edilson Magro (Coxim) and José Gilberto Garcia (Nova Andradina) and by technical aeronautics consultant Fabrício Correa, the deputy defended the feasibility of investments to modernize and renovate the airports in these municipalities.

For the deputy, regional aviation is an important factor for the development of Mato Grosso do Sul.

“These projects are well designed and our objective is to strengthen these cities as regional aviation infrastructure hubs, as alternatives not only for private flights, but also for regional aviation”, explains Vander.

The aeronautics consultant emphasizes that the modernization of aerodromes involves emergency issues.

“With these improvements, regardless of the time of day, these airports would be ready for the landing and takeoff of mobile ICU flights or the transport of organs for donation, for example”, points out Correa.

For Nova Andradina, Vander and José Gilberto are demanding R$8 million for the construction of a small enger terminal, night beacon system, installation of Papi (Precision Approach Path Indicator), resurfacing runway and aerodrome protection fencing.

As for Bela Vista, the deputy and Edilson requested R$7 million for night marking, Papi, resurfacing of the runway and protective fencing.

In the case of Coxim, the investment should be smaller, as the aerodrome runway was resurfaced and fenced. Therefore, Vander and Piti claimed R$2,5 million for night marking and Papi.

According to the parliamentarian, Costa Filho understood the importance of these projects.

“The minister was sensitive to our demand and agreed to work to place these projects in the Ministry’s budget. And we, for our part, are committed to working in the Chamber to this decision and seek to guarantee these resources in the Ministry’s budget”, concluded Vander.
