Known for offering regional air services to several companies in the United States, SkyWest Airlines announced an agreement with Embraer to postpone the delivery of four E175 aircraft due to a lack of pilots.
According to Simple flying, the backorders refer to orders for three units for Delta and one for Alaska Airlines. Due to the rapid recovery in post-pandemic demand, many regional airlines in the United States are struggling to hire new pilots.

SkyWest currently operates a fleet of 232 E175 aircraft providing regional services for Alaska Airlines, Delta, American Airlines and United Airlines.
By 2025, SkyWest plans to add an additional 47 E175 aircraft for major US operators, signifying the importance of first-generation E-Jet prominence even with the E2 family.
As a result, SkyWest recently announced an incentive to attract more pilots, with attractive bonuses and special 4-year contracts, even so, there are still unfilled spots.
