Eva Air's Boeing 777-300ER registration number B-16707 had just landed from Taipei, Taiwan, operating flight BR10. At the time of landing the aircraft, there was a heavy snowstorm and low visibility.
The aircraft landed normally at Vancouver International Airport, but when clearing the runway and taxiing to the terminal, it skidded and stopped with the nose landing gear on the snow.
The Boeing 777 was not damaged and no engers were injured in the incident. Eva Air issued a statement about the incident:
“Our company's BR10 Taipei-Vancouver flight landed safely at 18:42 pm local time on November 29. Visibility was poor due to heavy snow in the area. The nose wheel of the aircraft deviated from the surface of the taxiway, but both the crew and the plane were safe.”
