As of September 4, EgyptAir will start direct flights between Brazil and Egypt, according to ANAC's planned flights. The flights will be non-scheduled (charter) between Cairo and Guarulhos airports and will take place once a week.
The flights will be operated by EgyptAir's Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, a plane capable of transporting up to 309 engers in two classes (C30 Y279). However, the flights will be managed by the Spanish company MasterFlights. So far, there are 30 flights scheduled between September 4, 2022 and March 23, 2024.
Flights will always depart on Saturdays from Cairo International Airport at 18 pm (local time) and will arrive at Guarulhos International Airport, in São Paulo, at 07:20 am the following day. For Egypt, flights are scheduled to take off from Guarulhos at 04:00 am on Monday mornings, with a scheduled landing in Cairo at 16:35 pm (local time). The average duration of the flight is estimated at approximately 14 hours.
The resumption of flights between Brazil and Egypt is excellent news for tourism and cultural exchange between the two countries. Brazilian tourists will have the opportunity to explore the various tourist attractions in Egypt, such as the famous pyramids of Giza, the Temple of Luxor and the Valley of the Kings.
