A 68-year-old enger had to take control of a small plane after the pilot fell ill. The incident happened last Saturday (15/07) at Martha's Vineyard Airport, in Massachusetts (USA).
According to information from the UOL portal, the 80-year-old pilot was incapacitated shortly before starting the landing procedure. Faced with the unusual fact, the enger took control of the Piper Meridian 2006 turboprop. The plane was flying from Westchester County, New York.

Despite her inexperience, the enger managed to land the plane off the runway, resulting in one of the aircraft's wings collapsing.
After the incident, both the pilot and the woman on board were taken to the hospital. The Federal Aviation istration (FAA) launched an investigation and kept the identity of the two occupants confidential.
