Embraer and CAE expand pilot training capacity for the Phenom 300 in the USA and Europe

Embraer and CAE announced today that Embraer-CAE Training Services (ECTS), a t venture between the companies, will expand training capacity with two new flight simulators (Full-Flight Simulator – FFS) of the Phenom 300, to meet the growing demand for training in executive jets in the United States and Europe.

The first new simulator is scheduled to enter service in the first quarter of 2024, at CAE London Burgess Hill (United Kingdom). The second is planned for operation in the third quarter of 2024 at CAE Las Vegas (United States).

“After opening a new Phenom flight simulator in April, we are announcing two more, in the US and Europe. We are working with CAE to be where our customers need us, offering the latest technology updates and best-in-class . “The two new simulators will double our training capacity for the Phenom 300 in Las Vegas and London and will allow ECTS to train more pilots at an important time. CAE predicts the need for 32 thousand pilots in executive aviation over the next decade. We are working in partnership with Embraer to ensure that Phenom 300 customers have the highly skilled pilots who are needed to keep the jets in operation,” says Alexander Prevost, President of CAE's Business Aviation and Helicopter Training Division.

In addition to the new simulators, ECTS currently operates seven pieces of equipment for the Phenom series in Las Vegas, Nevada (USA), Dallas, Texas (USA), London Burgess Hill (United Kingdom) and Guarulhos (Brazil).

With more than 700 units in operation, the Phenom 300E is capable of reaching Mach 0.80 and offers a complete suite of avionics – including ROAAS (Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System), autothrottle, emergency descent mode, coupled go-around and more – allowing customers to reach their destinations faster and in superior comfort.
