Embraer and CAE inaugurate the first full E2 flight simulator in the Asia-Pacific region

Embraer and CAE officially inaugurated today the first full flight simulator for E-Jets E2 aircraft in the Asia-Pacific region. The training developed for Embraer commercial jets is part of the newest program offered in Singapore by the recently expanded Embraer-CAE Training Services (ECTS) t venture.

The E2 training program will feature competency-based training assessment courseware (CAE's CBTA), interactive classroom instruction using the CAE Simfinity virtual simulator (VSIM), and immersive hands-on training on a new state-of-the-art simulator. series generation CAE 7000XR. The equipment is located at the CAE Flight Training Center in Singapore, close to Changi Airport, and will E2 operators in the region.

Pilots from Scoot, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, have already begun training as part of preparation for the start of operations with the E190-E2 this year. They will be evaluated in all aspects and in different flight scenarios, using the latest generation simulator, with the aim of improving skills and preparation before the commercial operation of the jets begins.

For him, with the use of CAE's VSIM, the CBTA teaching material and the latest generation simulator, technology is at the center of the new E2 program, which will provide training and preparation of pilots for the entry into service and safe operation of the E2 in the Asia-Pacific region.

The simulator was certified by the Singapore Civil Aviation Authority in December 2023.

In addition to the E2 flight simulator, there are classroom sessions that include interactive on-screen training touch screen to accelerate learning. VSIM, a tool for familiarizing pilots with all aircraft systems, presents a significant improvement in relation to the typical preparation of professionals. Thus, it can be used by an instructor to simulate all types of system functions, both in the classroom and in briefings. Furthermore, the tool can be used by pilots for individualized training.
