Embraer announces transition in leadership of the Defense & Security area

A Embraer announced today the beginning of the transition process in leadership of the company's Defense area, announcing that the President and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security, Jackson Schneider, has decided to leave the company in April of next year, when his mandate ends. For the position, the company appointed Bosco da Costa Junior, current Vice President of Global Defense Sales.

With 11 years of experience at Embraer, Schneider has led the Defense & Security area since the beginning of 2014, being responsible for the development and internationalization of the KC-390 program, in addition to consolidating the company as the main “Brazilian Defense House”, with projects in all the Armed Forces of the country. Previously, he served as the company's Vice President of People, Sustainability and Communications.

Schneider will the transition of the area until the end of April 2023, when his term as a statutory director of the company ends. The Institutional Relations area, currently under Schneider's responsibility, will report directly to the President and CEO of Embraer.

Current CCO of the Defense & Security business unit, Bosco ed Embraer in 2005. In his career at the company, he has held leadership positions in the areas of contract management, tenders, Defense industrial/offset cooperation and in various managerial roles in the areas purchasing and supply chain management. Born in São José dos Campos (SP) and graduated in Business istration, Bosco has two postgraduate degrees – an International Executive MBA from FIA-USP and an MBA in Supply Chain Management and Logistics from FEA-USP.
