A Embraer published its Market Outlook for commercial aircraft deliveries to 2040. The report was presented at a press conference during the Dubai Air Show today (15).
The Market Outlook identifies trends that will influence air travel demand and deliveries of new jet and turboprop aircraft up to 150 seats over the next two decades. Results are provided for seven world regions.
The effects of the global pandemic impacted the recovery of global traffic, measured in revenue per enger kilometer (RPK), which according to Embraer's forecast should grow 3,3% per year until 2040. of RPKs from 2019 is expected to return in 2024.
Three key trends are shaping future travel and aircraft demand:
(i) Environment – airlines will acquire more fuel efficient fleets
(ii) Digitization – advances in technology, including home office and videoconferencing
(iii) Regionalization – relocation to concentrate production and minimize supply chain disruption
