The C-390 Millennium and its aerial refueling configuration, the KC-390, are the new generation of multi-mission military transport aircraft that offer unrivaled mobility and payload, rapid reconfiguration, high availability, improved comfort, and flight safety, as well as optimized management of reduced operating costs throughout the aircraft's lifecycle – all on a single platform.

Since the first delivery to the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) in 2019, the KC-390 Millennium has proven its capacity, reliability and performance. The aircraft was widely used in operations to transport medical equipment and supplies, from liquid oxygen to vehicles across Brazil at the height of the covid-19 pandemic. The FAB's current fleet of KC-390s is made up of five units and all are in full operation. The fleet has already sured 5 flight hours in operation with a mission completion rate of 97%, demonstrating excellent availability and productivity in its category.

Outside Brazil, the KC-390 was also used on international missions in August 2020, when it took supplies to Beirut, Lebanon, after the devastating explosion in the city's port. The KC-390 was also deployed to Haiti, in September 2021, after an earthquake and cyclone. More recently, the aircraft was used in Poland to rescue Brazilians and citizens of other nationalities fleeing the conflict in Ukraine.

The Hungarian Defense Forces and the Portuguese Air Force have signed orders for the aircraft. Both the Portuguese and Hungarian fleets will be configured to carry out aerial refueling and are fully compatible with NATO operations, not only in of hardware, but also in their avionics and communications configuration. The Hungarian Defense Forces fleet will be the first in the world to have an Intensive Care Unit configuration in its configuration, an essential feature for carrying out humanitarian missions.
