Embraer signs memorandum with Austrian aerospace companies

Embraer AICAT Memorandum Austria

Embraer and AICAT, the association of aerospace companies in Austria, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding to improve international cooperation in the aerospace sector. The cooperation will the relationships already established by Embraer in Austria, and will also enable additional opportunities in the European country, such as t research, technology development and contributions from the network of Austrian companies to the supply chain of Embraer's aircraft programs. AICAT is an organization within the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO) and represents the entire aviation technology community in Austria.

“AICAT is an association representing around 100 Austrian aviation companies, the majority of which are small and medium-sized companies that are part of the sector's supply chain. For the association, an intensified cooperation with Embraer ed by an MoU is a great opportunity, which will help both Embraer and the Austrian aeronautical sector, creating a more structured collaboration of mutual benefit”, says Reinhard Marak, CEO of AICAT.

We thank AICAT, local companies and representatives of the Austrian government for this important step in our partnership”, says Marcio Monteiro, Vice President of Market Intelligence at Embraer Defense & Security.

The announcement was made at Embraer's headquarters, in São José dos Campos. After the ceremony, representatives from Austrian aerospace companies and the Austrian government had the opportunity to meet with Embraer experts in different technologies to explore cooperation opportunities.
