A few years ago, Embraer hoped to make a merger that would reduce the size of the company, by transferring 80% of the commercial aircraft area to Boeing. However, at this moment, Embraer seems to be going in another direction, and growing in size.
On Wednesday (1st / 06) of this week, Michael Amalfitano, CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, declared that the company is evaluating new mergers and acquisitions in its segment, mainly seeing opportunities in the US and Europe.
Embraer's focus is on increasing its share in these markets, complementing it with the growth of the services division, which s customers using Embraer aircraft, in addition to having a revenue perspective of up to 2 billion dollars for 2026.
Amalfitano did not explain during the event what Embraer's plans are for its expansion, nor did he state which manufacturers could merge with the Brazilian company in the future.
Embraer recently reached a historic milestone with the announcement that the Phenom 300 series jets have become the world's best-selling category models for the tenth consecutive year and the most delivered twin-engine jet in 2021, according to figures released by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), an association that brings together manufacturers in the sector.
In recent months, Embraer has also carried out improvements in the maintenance program for the Legacy 600, Legacy 650 and Lineage 1000 executive jets. The focus was on reducing the cost of operating these aircraft, which are no longer produced.
