Embraer may be negotiating the sale of E2 aircraft to GOL and the LATAM Group, this is what the report suggests Bloomberg news portal.
With this, Embraer intends to double its annual revenue to US$ 10 billion by 2030, with a focus on renewing its fleet of aircraft such as GOL's Boeing 737-700 and the Airbus A319 used by LATAM Brasil.
According to Embraer's CEO, Francisco Gomes Neto, both Brazilian airlines are looking to renew their respective fleets to expand their presence at regional airports, known for operating mostly Airbus and Boeing planes.
Despite Embraer's optimism in negotiations, the manufacturer is facing delays in the delivery of aircraft due to problems in the supply of parts by MRO suppliers since the pandemic, directly harming aircraft manufacturers in meeting delivery deadlines.
In any case, Embraer currently only has one E2 aircraft operator in Brazil (Azul), which ironically, has been opening up space in international markets with the Embraer E2.
