Emirates Boeing 777X

The president of Emirates, Tim Clark, requested this Wednesday (21) that Boeing provide more details about the performance capabilities and delivery dates of the new 777X aircraft, in which the Arab company is the largest customer of the project.

In his statement, Clark suggested that Emirates is seeking to obtain real data on how the aircraft project is progressing, as well as the performance demonstrated so far in tests with the 777X.

In this way, the company will be able to decide on adjustments to orders for its new aircraft, as well as the delivery time for each aircraft.

Boeing, in turn, has already postponed the first delivery of the 777X three times. The first series aircraft will be delivered in 2023, for Qatar Airways, Emirates, in turn, expects to receive the plane only in 2025.

There are 126 Boeing 777X aircraft ordered by Emirates in total. Due to delays, the company can use as justification for an adjustment in orders, as speculated in February.
