Between the 14th and 18th of November, the Dubai Air Show will take place and information about the Boeing 777X will be available from the event. That's because the Emirates is determined to discuss with the manufacturer about the delays related to the new plane that is already ordered by the airline.
A Emirates is the biggest customer of the Boeing 777X and throughout 2021, it harshly criticized the American manufacturer about the delay in the project. The company's CEO recently said that the company would be uncertain about how deliveries of the new plane could affect the operation.
In June 2020, Emirates expected to receive its first example, but only in early 2020, the aircraft performed its first test flights. The world of aviation is keeping a close eye on the Dubai Air Show as Emirates will be able to convert even more orders from the 777X to the 787.
Currently the order is for 126 Boeing 777X aircraft, which were originally 150 aircraft. However, with delays and the uncertainty of when the aircraft will be delivered, Emirates has converted some orders to the Boeing 787.
“There will be a discussion … before and during the airshow,” reinforced Tim Clark.
