Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates, has transported the first car designed and built entirely in the United Arab Emirates to Lyon, , where it will be displayed during the 24 Hours of Le Mans, a prestigious race.
The Design-1 is a sports car designed and built entirely in the UAE by Jannarelly Automotive in collaboration with Equation Composites LLC, the first company to have acquired a car manufacturing license in the Emirates. Inspired by classic sports cars from the 1960s, the Jannarelly Design-1 is a retro-futuristic car crafted using high-tech composite materials to lower the vehicle's overall weight.
Equation Composites uses a small team of specialists to build each car, their value can vary between US$70000 and US$90000 depending on the options requested by the customer.
The Emirates cargo division has the help of Prodex to carry out the special transport of these cars, including their logistics and storage. There is also a division of the company (Emirates) specializing in the transport of high-value cars, such as a Ferrari and Rolls-Royce.
