Have you ever thought about owning a part of an Airbus A380 that has operated for Emirates in your house? Serving as a decoration or even . The Dubai-based airline has announced that it will be recycling part of its first 'superjumbo' and making its parts available for sale.
Emirates will transform parts of its old 'superjumbo' into furniture to be sold, all proceeds will be donated to charity. With nearly 14 years destined to operate solely for Emirates, the A6-EDA was delivered to the company in 2008, becoming the first A380 to be operated by the company.
Altogether, this aircraft performed approximately 49.632 flight hours, totaling 6.319 flights in 62 airports worldwide. Its market value is currently estimated at US$ 30,94 million, its last enger revenue flight was in March 2020, precisely at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

With the withdrawal of the A6-EDA from the Emirates fleet, the aircraft was transferred and delivered to Falcon Aircraft Recycling, a company specialized in transforming parts of an aircraft into parts and furniture. Around 190 tons of materials will be removed from the A380 to be transformed.
