Eve Air Mobility and Embraer announced today that the first factory for the production of Eve's electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft will be located in the city of Taubaté, in the interior of São Paulo. The industrial plant will be located in an area to be expanded within Embraer's existing unit in the city and is subject to final approval by the authorities.

The location benefits from strategic logistics, offering easy access via highways and proximity to a rail line. Another significant advantage is the location close to Embraer's headquarters in São José dos Campos and Eve's engineering and human resources team, which will facilitate the development and sustainability of new production processes, increasing the company's agility and competitiveness.

“When we started looking for a site to manufacture our eVTOL, we wanted to rethink how the aircraft could be built using the latest technologies and manufacturing processes, combined with other aspects such as the supply chain and logistics,” said André Stein, co- CEO of Eve. “Our objective is to offer safe products and services to the market and to be highly competitive in production efficiency. The new assembly line is being designed to prioritize safety, quality, efficiency, productivity and sustainability.”

“This decision is in line with our strategic growth plan based on innovation and sustainability,” said Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO of Embraer. “We believe in the enormous potential of the global Urban Air Mobility market and reinforce our commitment to Eve as one of the leading companies in this sector.”

In May 2022, Eve announced a partnership with Porsche Consulting to define the macro global production, supply chain and logistics strategy for its eVTOL. Since then, the companies have worked together to research advanced manufacturing and innovation concepts, using their aeronautics and motorsport expertise to design an industrialization concept for eVTOL aircraft based on high standards of safety, quality, efficiency and customer focus.

“We are focused on achieving the highest levels of excellence in eVTOL manufacturing through constant learning and an innovative approach. After extensive research into advanced production concepts and innovation for over a year, we are now ready to establish our first factory for the production of the eVTOL. With confidence in our capabilities, we are prepared to efficiently and sustainably expand production volume to meet the demands of a growing market,” added Alice Altissimo, Vice President of Program Management and Operations at Eve.

Eve continues to make progress on the development of its eVTOL and is also focused on creating a broad portfolio of agnostic solutions, including a unique Urban Air Traffic Management (Urban ATM) software to optimize and expand Urban Air Mobility operations worldwide. .
