During a financial results release, the Embraer highlighted a very important point in its performance in the airline sector. The executive jet market recorded significant growth during the pandemic, and in the 2nd quarter of 2022 boosted the company's results.
According to Embraer, the backlog grew by 3% between April and June, however, the executive aviation sector sured the overall growth in orders.
“Growth in the light and medium business jet segments continues”, said Embraer in its second-quarter financial results on August 04, 2022. "Embraer Executive Jets is well positioned to capitalize on this growth, with strong product performance and customer growth."

The Executive Aviation division delivered 21 aircraft (12 light jets and 9 medium jets) in 2Q22. Deliveries were higher than 2Q21 and sales remained strong in the quarter, with sales orders higher than prior year levels. The book-to-bill ratio remains above 2,5 to 1, the highest in the industry.
In of revenue, the Executive Aviation division posted revenue of R$1331,2 million in 2Q22, 4% lower compared to the previous year. Consolidated gross margin reported in 2Q22 was 22,2%, higher than the 17,4% reported in 2Q21, due to higher year-on-year prices.
By comparison, the Defense and Security and Commercial Aviation divisions reported a decrease of 31% and 27%, respectively, compared to 2Q21.
On the other hand, executive aviation also boosts the company's services sector, where sales results continue to be above target with new contracts signed in the first six months of the year.
Currently, Embraer markets the Phenom and Praetor lines in the executive jet market, each offering two models with different sizes and performance capabilities.
