After fresh flybys of the F-117 stealth bomber in 'Death Valley' last week, many questions were asked about why an aircraft retired in 2008 is still flying.
New news involving the Nighthawk, is circulating on the internet. According to the website Scramble, around four F-117 stealth aircraft were secretly used in the Middle East in 2017.
Scramble further reports that one of the deployed aircraft was involved in an in-flight emergency and landed far from its temporary base which was likely located in Saudi Arabia, the UAE or Qatar.
Still according to the website, the sources are “very reliable”, but as always nothing has been confirmed by the American authorities.
There are records of the F-117 performing flights in 2014, later the US Air Force itted that the Black Jet was kept in separate storage, at the Tonopah Test Range (TTR), which means the possibility of the aircraft returning to service.
