A Brazilian air force (FAB) holds this Sunday (23), Aviator's Day, another Air Sunday, this time in Boa Vista (RR), with several attractions, including a panoramic flight.
The event takes place between 15 pm and 20 pm and will feature overflights by C-98 Grand Caravan aircraft, A-29 Super Tucano and C-105 Amazonas. The program also foresees a rescue demonstration with the Black Hawk helicopter, a demonstration of military dogs, parachuting and a presentation by bands.
Visitors who donate 1 kg of non-perishable food (except salt) are also eligible for a scenic flight on the C-98. The draw takes place at 17 pm, with the flight scheduled for 18 pm. Finally, at 18:30 there is a recreational shower with the firefighters from the Boa Vista Air Force Base (BABV).
Founded in 1984 to reinforce air defense in the Amazon region, BABV is currently home to only one air unit, the Escorpião Squadron (1st/3rd GAv), which employs Embraer A-29s.
