After three days of action, FAB released a total of 96.000 liters of water, with the aim of fighting fires in the Pantanal. Last Sunday alone (30/06), 36.000 liters of water were released in three flights. The missions were carried out using the KC-390 Millennium aircraft, from the First Troop Transport Group (1st GTT) – Zeus Squadron.
A second multi-mission freighter from the Zeus Squadron arrived in Corumbá (MS) this Sunday, transporting a compressor from São Paulo, which will optimize water refueling on the plane. The instrument will result in more sorties on the day to combat fire in the region.
Since being engaged, on Friday (28/06), FAB has already carried out eight flights to the Brazilian biome, totaling 8 hours and 25 minutes of flight time. Six more flights are planned for this Monday (01/07) in of the drought in the region.
