The Federal Police presented today (08/12) in Brasília (DF) its first Embraer E175 aircraft for guests and press. The aircraft was acquired from the bankrupt FlyBe and will be operated by the Operational Aviation Command (CAOP).
In the line of executive jets, CAOP until then operated with two Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft with the capacity to transport around 50 engers, depending on the mission. In addition to greater modernity, the two new E175-E1s manufactured in 2012 by the Federal Police can carry up to 88 engers on board, expanding their capacity for national security missions.

The handover ceremony was attended by the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Anderson Torres, the Attorney General of the Union, Bruno Bianco Leal, the Director General of the PF, Paulo Gustavo Maiurino, and the President and CEO of Embraer, Francisco Gomes Neto.
In addition to PS-CAV (formerly G-FBJE), aircraft presented today in Brasilia, the Federal Police will have a second Embraer-175 unit, the PS-DPF (G-FBJF), both ex-Flybe, which will be delivered in 2022.
In the photos we can also identify the official painting of the Federal Police for its jets, following the same standard as the ERJ and without major changes.

As it is an aircraft that previously operated in the United Kingdom before being delivered to the PF, the E175 underwent numerous adaptations at OGMA, a company of the Embraer Group, in Portugal, where it received all maintenance for return to operation, updating for compliance with operational requirements in Brazil, in addition to a new paint job.
“We are proud of the choice of the Federal Police to operate the E175 jet, which will be the largest aircraft in the country used in the field of public safety, guaranteeing more capacity to transport engers and cargo, in addition to increasing the flight range, which expands the range of missions that the Federal Police can carry out”, said Jackson Schneider, President and CEO of Embraer Defense and Security.

“The introduction of the E175, a modern and efficient jet, will allow us to further expand the scope of our main missions, such as moving agents for operations to combat organized crime, transferring detainees, moving equipment and cargo”, said the General Director of the Federal Police, Paulo Gustavo Maiurino.
