However, it remains mandatory to present the digital vaccination card, with at least two doses of the vaccine. For people aged 55 and over, proof of the booster dose is also required.

Another change in the current protocol will be the requirement of at least one dose of the vaccine for adolescents aged 12 to 17 years. Children up to 11 years old do not need to present a vaccination card.

′′ As there are further advances in vaccination against Covid in the country, the complete vaccination schedule will also be required for those under 18 years old. It is an extra protection, both for those who visit and for those who live in Noronha”, adds the health superintendent on the island, Fernando Magalhães.

Testing of visitors at the exit of Noronha will be maintained, but in a reduced form. Instead of 30% of engers drawn for the test, now 20% will be tested.

“The advances in vaccination and the reduction in Covid numbers in the country give us the security to make the protocol a little more flexible, but without giving up the vaccine requirement, ensuring that everyone who enters the island is immunized and, consequently, with a lower risk of contracting the disease, points out the of Fernando de Noronha, Guilherme Rocha.

Fernando de Noronha has 100% of its adult population vaccinated with at least two doses. The State Health Department and the island's istration continue to monitor the immunity of residents, with the epidemiological study, which will begin a new phase next week.
