On the 14th of February, a rebel group announced the shooting down of a fighter jet belonging to the Royal Saudi Air Force. With everything there are two sides and with that two answers, the Saudis say that the aircraft crashed without giving much explanation as to why. The rebel group, on the other hand, says that the fighter was shot down, over time images began to circulate on the internet where it shows something hitting the aircraft, appearing to be that it was actually shot down.

So far, precise information about the Saudi pilots is not known, some sources say that one of them died and the other was captured by the rebels.

According to the Al Jazeera website, reports suggest that the Tornado was shot down by a surface-to-air missile. It is not known exactly what type of missile was used in the slaughter, but according to The Aviationist website, the rebels operate modified weapons in their arsenal, such as the R-27T AAMs.

It is not the first time that a Saudi fighter has been shot down, in 2018 a Royal Saudi Air Force F-15 was shot down by a surface-to-air missile, where a modified R-27 is believed to have been employed.
