Instructor Sergeant Washington de Freitas Barbosa da Silva highlighted the practical part as a key point for the success of the training. “There are many variables in a service. So, if the student is able to use theoretical knowledge, under pressure, at the scene of the accident, this will indicate that the service will be of excellence”, said.

Training participant, Sergeant Caren Fraga da Silva, from Campo de Provas Brigadeiro Velloso, headquartered in Novo Progresso (PA), reported that the simulated exercise was of great importance. “The activity brings us closer to the reality of providing care under pressure and stress, testing our ability to care for victims”he says.

At the end of the instruction, the military were submitted to a simulation of an aeronautical accident involving multiple victims with different needs for care, explains the FAB.

The Course Coordinator, Air Force Firefighter Lieutenant Rogério Bernardo da Silva, explained that the preparation also aims to spread knowledge. “These military personnel, in the case of a real occurrence, are prepared to apply the acquired knowledge. In addition, they will be able to work in the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) as instructors for other military personnel”, it ends.
