First A319 that would belong to Itapemirim is ready to be returned

Itapemirim

Without at least having completed a regular flight for the Itapemirim, the A319ceo, which previously had the registration PS-SIL and bore the brand of the Brazilian airline, not only lost the Brazilian registration, as well as the ITA brand, with the registration 9H-XFW.

Stopped at TAP M&E since arriving in Brazil, this A319 still has the colors of its former operator, the Hi Fly Malta.

In November last year, the jet landed in Brazil, but was sent directly to the TAP M&E facilities in Galeão, in order to receive adaptations to fly on the airline's network. However, that did not happen, and Itapemirim ended its activities even before taking the plane into the air.

Apparently, the aircraft should be returned, since Itapemirim has paralyzed its activities since December 17 of last year, showing no signs that it will be able to return to operation in the coming months. Last night (10), two more Itapemirim aircraft left Brazil for the United States (PS-TCS and PS-MGF).

Interestingly, this Airbus A319 has four emergency windows above the wings, unlike the common configuration of the aircraft, with two windows. It will be the first aircraft with this factory option to operate in Brazil.

The four exits allow the aircraft to have an interior configuration of more than 145 seats, a technical limit for aircraft of this size with two windows over the wings, such as the 737-300, 737-700 and Airbus A319. In Hi Fly Malta's standard, the aircraft flies with 150 seats inside.

The aircraft has another 4 exits through the front and rear doors, totaling 8 emergency exits. The model without option, used by LATAM Brasil, has six exits in total and a limit of 145 seats inside.
