The well-known Azul Celeste by ITA Airways, which recently debuted in the Italian aviation market, will not be present on the company's first Airbus A220.
Recently ITA Airways presented the painting “Born To Be Sustainable” on its new Airbus A350, taking another step in its commitment to become the most sustainable airline in Europe by 2025. And these “basic” colors, taking advantage of the standard white of all paintwork, will be present on the company's new A220, at least least in the first.

In addition, the airline placed in the fuselage of the widebody “-25% Fuel & CO2”, referring to the lower consumption of the Airbus plane which also produces less carbon emissions during travel.
In a statement, ITA Airways said it is investing in Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) and in the near future will implement carbon offset programs.

Betting on renewing its fleet, ITA Airways wants to receive four Airbus A220 aircraft in 2022, despite the fact that the first one was delivered this month. By the end of 2026, the company should receive up to 25 aircraft of this model (in the -100 and -300 versions) to replace the Airbus A319s that are in operation.
The company is also replacing the A320ceo (old generation) with the new Airbus A320neo and A321neo, which are being delivered little by little from the next few months to ITA Airways.
