Leading on-demand business aviation platform, the Flapper will announce yet another type of service during the 17th edition of Labace, the largest aviation business event in Latin America.
The meeting with the largest organizations in the airline industry starts this Tuesday, the 9th, and runs until the 11th of August, at Congonhas Airport, in São Paulo.
After starting activities in the executive aircraft sales sector, the company now offers the 'Flapper Pool', which consists of the possibility for the customer to charter an aircraft and, if he so prefers, put the other empty seats up for sale to reduce the cost of this charter.
What is commercialized will be deducted from the value of the service. If they are not interested, the customer will be charged in full. An important detail in this case: the value of the sum of the seats cannot exceed the final value of the charter of the aircraft.
So far, the company has invested just over BRL 1 million in the development of this option, which will work exclusively through the company's application. According to CEO Paul Malicki, this service will still undergo a series of improvements.
“Our main objective is to promote the democratization of private aviation, allowing upper middle class customers to create flights, without risk, and share with other people”, stands out.
For now, the 'Flapper Pool' is only available for countries where payment can be made via the organization's application: Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Colombia. However, the expectation is that, by the end of this year, customers in Mexico will also have this option available. The company expects that in 2023 its turnover will increase by up to 40% with the novelty.
In addition, Flapper, in partnership with MagniX, a company that manufactures electric motors for electric aircraft, will once again exhibit an electric propulsion unit, the Magni650 (EPUs).
These engines will be used, in the case of the Flapper, to convert the Caravan into an electric aircraft. The plane is currently used to make the route São Paulo-Angra dos Reis (RJ) and cargo flights throughout the Brazilian territory.
