Highly widespread in the national executive aviation market, and implementing new business models in the sector, Flapper is one of the companies highlighted in the 1st edition of the Brazilian Innovation and Tourism Challenge in Brazil.
The award brings together initiatives with the potential to address short-term needs in the post-Covid-19 pandemic scenario or that improve existing services in the field.
Flapper was chosen among 790 projects from 25 ed states, with 3 evaluation rounds. For Paul Malicki, CEO of the company, the new rules implemented by ANAC pave the way for technology companies to drive air taxi operators to sell more and also to collaborate with new companies to enter the sector.
“According to our estimates, the traditional model based on long-term contracts will disappear from the market in the next 10 to 15 years. Innovative business models based on the sharing economy and efficient online distribution will dominate the industry in the long term.”, points out Paul.

Featured in the 'air transport' category, Flapper carries in its history a growth of almost 200% in revenue in recent months, accompanied by an increase of 400% in the number of new quotations. The company strives, in this sense, to increasingly democratize access to executive flights in the country.
Paul believes that awards like this encourage institutions to work on their evolution: “Today, we have more than 200 ed s in our application and, with the visibility and recognition of the Ministry of Tourism, we can reach more people”He says.
The award final will be held online on September 29, from 15:17 pm to 30:20 pm, during Abav Collab, the virtual fair of the Brazilian Association of Travel Agencies. The jury will be made up of more than XNUMX personalities from tourism and the innovation ecosystem.
The 10 finalists in the competition will compete in a trip to Madrid (Spain), with a training program offered by the Wakalua Innovation Hub, during FITUR 2021, the largest tourism fair in the world.
