Due to the growing movement at airports and verification of documents required for entry into the United States, it is recommended to arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure.

Currently, in Brazil, Delta operates daily, direct flights between Guarulhos Airport, in São Paulo, and Atlanta, where travelers can connect to destinations around the world.

With the reopening of US borders for vaccinated international travelers, the resumption of Delta flights between São Paulo and New York-JFK airports has been brought forward: instead of returning in February 2022, flights are scheduled to start in December 19, initially with three weekly flights, which will increase to four flights between February 21 and March 26, 2022 and to five times a week between March 27 and May 29, 2022.

The airline expects to resume service between Rio de Janeiro and Atlanta on February 18, 2022.

Making international travel easier

To help engers understand the entry requirements, new enhancements are coming to delta.com and the app Fly delta this month. Among them are:

  • Easier management of entry requirements using the Delta FlyReady, the company's digital solution designed to automatically government-required health documentation. As of November 08th, customers on nearly all international routes to the United States can use Delta FlyReady to do the and directly check the status of proof of vaccination. Once requirements are met, an indicator on travelers' boarding will attest that they are ready to depart**;
  • A revamped map experience Delta Discover, with Smartvel technology, which will allow customers to conveniently filter destinations based on health requirements, including vaccination status, for a more personalized customer view.
