The International Airport of Foz do Iguaçu (IGU), managed by CCR Aeroportos, received during the weekend, between the 1st and 3rd of September, a Boeing 757-200 class D, an aircraft with more than 47m in length. As it was a plane above the category foreseen for the aerodrome, it was necessary to set up a special operation to guarantee safe landing, marking and takeoff.

The Peso (Specific Operational Safety Procedure), was approved by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and involved the supervision and inspection teams of the patio, airport operations center and Control Tower of Foz do Iguaçu, Safety, among other areas from the Iguaçu terminal.

The employees set up a plan for guiding the aircraft's beaconing, positioning it in the parking lot so that it would not interfere with the airport's operational routine. In addition, plans were drawn up to ensure operational safety, such as additional safety inspections.

As highlighted by the manager of Foz do Iguaçu International Airport, Wander Melo Jr, the operation was a planning success and highlighted the work of all sectors of Foz Airport, which worked together for the sporadic operation that allowed engers to visit the beauties of the Land of the Falls.
