The GE Aerospace (Celma) Test Bench in Três Rios, in the south of Rio de Janeiro, has just reached the milestone of 500 aeronautical engines tested and overhauled. The plant, opened in 2018, allowed the company to adopt new technologies that enable it to carry out tests with a higher level of quality to validate the engines of the GEnx and Leap lines, which equip Boeing and Airbus aircraft, respectively. The result of an investment of US$50 million, the Três Rios Evidence Bank is considered one of the most modern in the world. In addition to control and command software that allows for greater data processing speed, automatic diagnosis of faults presented during the test and real-time results, the unit has a GE sound damper system, Bar Silencers, applied to the exhaust and upon ission to the test bench and which provides less noise emission into the environment.
